Kennicott Glacier Lodge is located in the center of the Wrangell-St. Elias National Park and Preserve in eastern Alaska. This 13.2 million acre jewel has been called by the United States Congress "the premier mountain wilderness in North America". It was recognized by the United Nations for its "outstanding universal value to mankind ...(part of the) heritage of all nations of the world".

Wrangell-St. Elias is the largest National Park in the USA, the size of six Yellowstones, and larger than Vermont and New Hampshire put together! The eastern border of Wrangell-St. Elias adjoins Kluane National Park in Canada.

Wrangell-St. Elias and Kluane, together with Glacier Bay National Park (US) and Tatshenshini-Alsek Provincial Park (Canada), make up a 24.3 million acre World Heritage Site, so designated by the United Nations for its unique beauty and natural splendor.

On your visit here you will see rugged mountains, spectacular glaciers, wild rivers, and remote valleys. There is wildlife such as moose, bear, Dall sheep, and mountain goats. If you like outdoor activities, you'll find lots to do here. All of the things Alaska is famous for are waiting to be discovered by you!
